SUMMARY:Scuba rangers program
DESCRIPTION:SSI’s Scuba Rangers Diving program is one of the world’s best-developed scuba and snorkeling programmes for children. This is dive training and a diving school designed for children aged 8 to 12. Scuba Rangers classes are safe\, taught only by instructors specifically trained in the Rangers program\, and will introduce your child to the wonders of the water in a gentle\, multi-faceted manner. \nKIDS & SCUBA RANGERS DIVING\nScuba Rangers is not just a diving course\, it can also be a long term activity if they want to become part of a Scuba Rangers Club. As part of the club sessions they learn about our environment\, get more diving experience and have a fun time together. They will try underwater photography or night diving with torches in the swimming pool\, visit zoos and aquariums\, go to the cinema or take part in other challenging activities. \nSAFETY\nSafety is a top priority. Scuba Rangers programs can only be taught by specially trained instructors in a pool (or under confined water conditions in a protected area) up to a maximum depth of 4 meters (12 feet). In depths greater than 1.50 meters (5 feet) there is a one-to-two instructor-to-student ratio. \nSCUBA RANGERS INSTRUCTORS\nSSI Instructors are only allowed to teach if they are affiliated with an SSI Facility. This concept – unique in the industry – allows direct monitoring of all active SSI Dive Professionals to ensure the highest quality education. \nThe Scuba Ranger Instructors who teach children diving school courses have not only been deemed excellent divers by our strict SSI standards\, they have also had special training in how to teach diving to children specifically. During the Scuba Rangers sessions and club activities\, safety always comes first; the instructor-student ratio is always respected\, and sufficient medical resources are always close at hand. \nThe SCUBA RANGERS Philosophy\nTo keep it simple and fun\, we have designed the SCUBA RANGERS Star\, which defines the five points of a successful SCUBA RANGER: \nProper Knowledge: Rangers must learn the rules of responsible diving. \nProper Skills: Rangers must learn and practice basic scuba skills. \nProper Equipment: Rangers must learn to use basic scuba equipment\, and should own snorkeling equipment\, and properly maintain and care for all their equipment. \nProper Experience: Rangers should maintain diving proficiency\, dive within their limits\, and continue to learn more about scuba and water exploration. \nTraining: Scuba Rangers begin out of the water\, focusing on becoming comfortable with the idea of diving\, and learning about breathing\, helping peers\, and becoming familiar with equipment. \nTraining is broken out in 5 different levels. The kids are taught the skills and knowledge they need to become safe and successful divers in a fun yet controlled environment. \n \n  \nGet your children excited about moving up the Scuba Ranger ladder! Rangers get a ribbon tied around their snorkel for each level they complete\, contributing to their feeling of success and ownership. \nStep 1: Red Ranger – Kids demonstrate their swimming skills and learn how to snorkel with a mask\, a snorkel and fins. How to help other children is also emphasized. And most importantly\, so is having fun! \nStep 2: White Ranger – Would be divers are introduced to diving equipment. What are these things for and how do we use them? Rangers then go into the pool with equipment for the first time. \nStep 3: Blue Ranger – Rangers learn new diving exercises in the pool such as how to float in the water. \nStep 4: Silver Ranger – Children play games underwater while wearing diving equipment to increase their comfort and practice the diving techniques they’ve learned so far. \nStep 5: Demo Ranger – Your proud children are able to “teach” diving to parents\, siblings\, and friends by doing demonstrations of the skills they’ve learned. \nAfter completing the Demo Ranger level\, students can become Scuba Ranger Club members\, and receive an official membership card. Kids become part of a network of Scuba Rangers\, who can then swim together\, talk about scuba\, and go on field trips to aquariums or movies about ocean life. Scuba Rangers may then also “Specialise.” \nMany SSI Resorts also offer Scuba Rangers Diving Trips. It’s a great way to inspire your child and provide you with an unforgettable family holiday. \nScuba Rangers is FUN.\nIf you struggle to get your child interested in anything\, why not try out children’s diving school through the time-tested Scuba Rangers program? Through an exciting tier system that Scuba Rangers get excited to climb\, as well as trips to aquariums\, study of underwater species\, films of the wonders at the bottom of the ocean\, and fun educational materials like coloring books\, Scuba Rangers becomes an activity that kids can’t wait to get back too.

SUMMARY:Nitrox speciality course
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever dreamed of having longer no-decompression limits to take pictures or explore a wreck? Did you ever want to be safer while diving concerning the potential risk of decompression sickness? Nitrox is the key. Due to the reduced fraction of nitrogen in your breathing gas\, your body will have less work and the desaturation times will be reduced. In your ENRICHED AIR NITROX Program you will learn all the necessary rules for planning dives with Nitrox and using Nitrox in a safe way. An important key point in the entire program is analysing your own cylinder prior to any Nitrox dive. “Nitrox for free” is a slogan in a lot of resorts.
