Christmas Present Ideas

As Christmas gets ever closer, it’s time to start thinking about presents for your scuba-mad friends and family members. Read on to discover the products which fly off our shelves as the festive season gets into full swing.

Try Dives

If you’re passionate about scuba diving and want to inspire one of your friends to get involved too, why not buy them a Try Dive session with Aqualogistics?

Their experience will take place in a local pool with the guidance of a qualified instructor who has been teaching for many years. We work in association with Scuba Schools International (SSI), one of the largest and most trusted training agencies in the world, so you know that your friend will be in safe hands.

As part of the dive, they’ll be introduced to the wonderful world of scuba diving. In water of varying depths, they’ll be shown how all the different bits of equipment work, how to use them and how to have a safe and enjoyable time underwater.

Included in the price of the try dive is all scuba equipment hire, all air refills, entry costs to the pool and the SSI training app.

If you have a couple of friends who want to try it out, we have a discount available when you dive as a pair.

A Try Dive is a great way to discover the joy of diving and the freedom that comes with it. You never know, it may inspire your friend to take up a lifetime hobby and they’ll end up joining you on future dives!

Price:

  • Single diver – £20
  • Two divers, diving as a pair – £35

Fins and Gloves

If your friend or family member is a more experienced diver, you may wish to buy them a new pair of fins, although you should probably check with them what style they prefer as all divers have their own favourites.

We have a wide range available, in a variety of colours, shapes and sizes, for use with a bare foot or boot. With products starting from as little as £36, there’s no better time than the present to make your purchase.

Our range of diving gloves also prove popular presents at this time of year (they fit neatly in a stocking!). Whether your friend intends to dive in cold or warm water, we have gloves for every situation. Thinner gloves allow for easier movement, so you can more easily access your gear or operate your dive computer, though they are not suitable for particularly cold water. If you’re heading to Capernwray with your friend some time soon, we’d definitely recommend thicker gloves!

Hint – sneak into their dive bag and check their glove size.

Masks

Finally, how about getting them a new mask? This probably isn’t something you can surprise your friend with though, as choosing the right mask can be a lengthy process and is really up to personal choice. We’ve written about choosing the right mask before; you’ll find lots of useful advice there. Most importantly, consider the fit, the lenses, the strap and whether a snorkel can be attached. Ideally, your friend needs to come into the shop to try on a selection of masks to find one that they feel most comfortable wearing.

Aqualogistics Dive Store

We have a huge number of products available online, including Suunto dive computers and Apeks regulators. Check back regularly to see our latest scuba diving offers.

    Hi
It’s over 1 1/2 years since I dived and would like to familiarise myself with the equipment before a planed dive by the end of April.
I do have a PADI license.
What can you offer me ?
    Looking forward to your reply.
    Kind regards
    Poldi
